Overcomer Nation!!! We had the opportunity to interview Todd Durkin, the “Mind Right Maniac” on our latest episode! He’s the founder of Fitness Quest 10 in San Diego, CA and the founder of Todd Durkin Mastermind. He has trained multiple Super Bowl MVPs and many other professional athletes, he’s a lead training advisor for Under Armour and has been named one of the top 100 most influential people in health & fitness for four consecutive years. Todd has also mentored our very own Travis Barnes for the last ten years. He lit the fire in Travis ten years ago at the Perform Better Summit and will be lighting the fire in many others during his upcoming presentation “Energy Amplified – Turn it up Now and Live Your Best Life” at this year’s Perform Better Summit.

Todd has had many adversities in his life, growing up in a divorced family, losing his father at the age of 20 and having a devastating back injury at the age of 25 which ruined his hopes of becoming an NFL player. Todd says that back injury “catapulted me into working with some of the best athletes in the world” and “has shaped who I am today”. Todd is all about bettering himself and wants to help others better themselves. He thrives on making an impact in others’ lives and believes his most significant work is not yet done.

If you’ve ever met Todd, seen him on the reality show Strong, been to his fitness center or heard him speak, you know he is full of energy. Many ask “how do you get that kind of energy?” Todd says “if you want insane energy, make sure you can turn that energy off and have ‘yin’ time. He is a man of faith and spends time in prayer, ingesting and digesting the word of God and asks “God, what do you want me to do with my life?”, not “what does the world want me to do?”
